Do You Need a Clutch Replacement?

Replacing a clutch can be a daunting experience for some people and quite a costly part to replace. It is, unfortunately, like most parts of your car, a wear and tear item. All cars will need a clutch replacement at some point and maintaining your car is a must as a car gets older to keep it on the road for as long as possible. No car clutch will last forever and it is a vital mechanical component which is necessary for the car to stop, accelerate and decelerate so without it you would not be able to drive. A few common signs of clutch failure are; not being able to get the car into gear, the clutch pedal drops to the floor, the biting point is very high on the pedal and possible noises coming from the clutch which disappear when you press the clutch pedal. Most clutches come as a three piece kit, clutch baring, clutch plate and clutch slave cylinder. In some cases if a clutch kit comes in two pieces then there is an external clutch slave cylinder which can solve the issue of loss of clutch pedal use. If you are experiencing any issues with your clutch then it is advisable to bring your car in to us at AE Services in Sutton where one of our fully trained engineers will check to see if the clutch needs replacing. We will diagnose the issue and give you the best price available for the replacement of parts needed to get you back on the road.
